Résumé
La musique et l’affirmation identitaire québécoises passent notamment par les festivals, lieux privilégiés de promotion de la culture de la nation québécoise. Si la musique fait partie intégrante de l’identité du Québec, le festival de musique, en tant que miroir des traditions de cette société, participe à la construction de son identité culturelle. Après un survol des relations entre l’État québécois et les festivals de musique au Québec depuis la Révolution tranquille, surtout depuis l’adoption d’une première politique culturelle (1992), le phénomène festivalier sera analysé comme une source intarissable pour saisir la sociabilité festivalière et le patrimoine culturel immatériel du Québec.

Abstract
Music and Québécois national affirmation are both tied to festivals, which are privileged spaces for the promotion of the culture of the Québécois nation. If music is an integral part of Quebec’s identity, the music festival, understood as the mirror of the traditions of the latter society, contributes to the construction of its cultural identity. After an overview of the relationship between the Quebec state and music festivals in the province since the Quiet Revolution, notably following the first cultural policy in 1992, the festival phenomenon is considered as a rich source to grasp both sociabilities in these contexts and Quebec’s intangible cultural heritage.
