Abstract
This article presents the foundations of mentalization-based interventions and their relevance for young people in Youth Protection Centers. In this study, the training on mentalization-based interventions, designed by Domon-Archambault & Terradas (2015a), was conducted with childcare workers working with adolescent girls. Despite the modest changes observed in participants' mentalizing capacity, the training seems to allow the development of new intervention strategies and encourage a more explicit use of mentalization. Contributions, limitations, and future research for this type of intervention are discussed.
