Abstract
Emotional self-efficacy to transmit corrective feedback (ESEF-) is a key construct in order to better understand the discomfort of managers when they need to transmit feedback. This study aims to validate the ESEF- scale with managers in order to determine its contribution to the prediction of feedback avoidance. The data (N = 343) were collected by online questionnaires. The results of the confirmatory factor analyses support the seven-factor structure of the scale. Regression analyses show that the ESEF- predicts feedback avoidance. However, the incremental validity of the scale is only partially supported. The implications are discussed.
