Les mutations contemporaines transforment la psyché des sujets et leurs modalités d’« être ensemble ». Elles affectent le registre identificatoire et les dynamiques d’investissement (de soi et de l’autre) en corrélation avec la tentation d’un narcissique délié de sa dette d’altérité. Comment, en tant qu’analystes, nous rendons-nous sensibles aux bouleversements en cours et à la façon dont les sujets remanient leurs étayages (libidinaux et sociaux) ? Comment investissons-nous la pluralité de nos propres fonctionnements psychiques (individuels et groupaux) et contribuons-nous à la restauration des processus intermédiaires ; comment oeuvrons-nous à ce que la haine et le narcissisme s’amenuisent en conflictualité et participent à la Kulturarbeit ?

Contemporary changes are transforming people’s psyches and the ways in which they “are together.” They affect the register of identification and the ways in which people invest (in themselves and others), correlating with the temptation of a narcissist who has been freed from the burden of otherness. How, as analysts, do we become sensitive to the upheavals underway and to the way in which subjects are reshaping their (libidinal and social) supports? How do we invest in the plurality of our own (individual and group) subjective functioning and contribute to the restoration of intermediate processes; how do we work to ensure that hatred and narcissism diminish in conflictuality and participate in Kulturarbeit?

Cet article explore le rôle de la figuration du corps associée à des sensations et des mises en mots dans les problématiques addictives. Nous interrogeons le rapport aux sensations à partir du prototype du traumatisme de la naissance en tant que point de régression pathogène. Notre méthode étudie deux peintres marqués par l’addiction : Francis Bacon et Edvard Munch. Leur créativité donne à voir et à entendre les sensations dans leurs peintures par deux procédés très différents. Bacon et Munch se dégagent de l’angoisse des traumas en mettant sous tension le regard et la voix dans une figuration originale qui aboutit pour chacun à un acte de naissance par l’art. Ces bricolages singuliers invitent à penser la clinique sous transfert comme une mise en scène des sensations dans l’espace thérapeutique permettant au sujet addict de « voir » et d’« être vu », et de se « dire » et d’« être entendu » autrement.

This article explores the role of body representation associated with sensations and verbalization in addiction. We examine the relationship to sensations based on the prototype of birth trauma as a point of pathogenic regression. For this purpose, we study two painters known for their addictions: Francis Bacon and Edvard Munch. Their creativity allows us to see and hear sensations in their paintings through two very different processes. Bacon and Munch free themselves from the anguish of trauma by putting gaze and voice under tension in an original figuration that leads each painter to an act of birth through art. These unique creations invite us to think of clinical practice under transference as a staging of sensations in the therapeutic space, allowing the addict subject to “see” and “be seen” and to “speak” and “be heard” in a different way.

Cet article analyse la manière dont la langue naturelle contribue à la structuration du conflit psychique dans le cadre de la pratique analytique contemporaine. À travers l’étude de trois vignettes cliniques éclairées par la théorie moderne du conflit de Charles Brenner et la conception du langage comme formation de compromis formulée par Jeffrey Jackson, il est démontré que la langue maternelle et les langues étrangères ne sauraient être réduites à de simples vecteurs de communication : elles constituent de véritables matrices actives, organisant les modalités défensives, les compromis psychiques et les configurations transférentielles. L’analyse suggère que ce qui importe le plus, pour la pratique clinique, ce n’est pas l’opposition abstraite « langue maternelle versus langue étrangère », mais l’histoire propre à chaque individu avec chacune de ses langues et la charge inconsciente qu’il leur attribue. Il en découle que la configuration linguistique de la cure devient un véritable outil technique du travail analytique sur la résistance, le transfert et l’accès au matériel refoulé, particulièrement dans un contexte de mobilité internationale accrue.

This article analyzes how natural language contributes to the structuring of psychological conflict in contemporary analytical practice. Through examination of three clinical vignettes informed by Charles Brenner’s modern conflict theory and Jeffrey Jackson’s conception of language as a compromise formation, it demonstrates that mother tongues and foreign languages cannot be reduced to mere vectors of communication: they constitute genuine active matrices that organize defensive modalities, compromise formations, and transferential configurations. The analysis suggests that what matters most in clinical practice is not the abstract “mother tongue versus foreign language” opposition but each individual’s unique history with their respective languages and the unconscious charge they attribute to them. Consequently, the linguistic configuration of treatment becomes a genuine technical tool for analytical work on resistance and transference, particularly in current contexts of increased international mobility.

Pour introduire la transitionnalité, l’auteur propose une étude comparative des métapsychologies de Freud et de Winnicott. La première topique a pour objet les contenus de l’appareil psychique, l’appareil psychique ayant alors atteint « sa perfection actuelle » (Freud, 1900/1976). Winnicott prendra pour objet l’appareil psychique lui-même. Dans la deuxième topique, Freud présente un état originaire de la psyché, devenu un projet, une déclaration d’intentions et non pas un instrument de transformation : le Moi aura à se différencier du Ça. Le processus de maturation de Winnicott deviendra cet instrument de transformation. Dans l’après coup de la pensée de Green, le destin heureux du processus de maturation permettra l’émergence d’une troisième topique dont les instances seront le soi et l’objet. Cette troisième topique, issue de l’instauration de la dimension générative du Moi, fera système en actualisant un espace et une temporalité psychiques transitionnels qui permettront le passage d’un fonctionnement psychique modèle deuxième topique à un fonctionnement psychique modèle première topique de par l’existence cachée de la transitionnalité.

To introduce the concept of transitionality, the author offers a comparative study of the metapsychologies of Freud and Winnicott. The first topology focuses on the contents of the psychic apparatus, which has by then reached “its present perfection.” Winnicott, on the other hand, focuses on the psychic apparatus itself. In the second topology, Freud presents an original state of the psyche, which has become a project, a declaration of intent, and not an instrument of transformation: the Ego must differentiate itself from the Id. Winnicott’s maturational process will become this instrument of transformation. In the après-coup of Green’s thought, the successful outcome of the maturation process will allow for the emergence of a third topology, whose instances will be the self and the object. This third topology, arising from the establishment of the generative dimension of the Ego, will form a system by actualizing a transitional psychic space and temporality that will allow the transition from a second-topology model of psychic functioning to a first-topology model of psychic functioning through the hidden existence of transitionality.

Dans cet article, l’auteure s’intéresse aux différentes facettes d’un transfert amoureux très marqué chez un patient et en examine la nature oedipienne, préoedipienne, « de base » ou narcissique, à valence positive ou négative, et ses intrications et désintrications. L’analyse commence sous des auspices très positifs et une butée vient rapidement confronter l’analyste à la mère morte, véritable révélation du transfert selon André Green (1982/2007). Un moment clé permet à l’auteure de faire une construction interprétative du transfert maternel à la fois amoureux et hostile et elle en discute ensuite les premiers effets.

In this article, the author examines the various facets of a patient’s pronounced love transference, exploring its Oedipal, pre-Oedipal, “basic” or narcissistic nature, as well as its positive or negative valence and its entanglements and disentanglements. While the analysis begins under positive auspices, the analyst is quickly confronted with the dead mother, which André Green (1982/2007) describes as a true revelation of transference. A pivotal moment enables the author to interpret the maternal transference as both loving and hostile, and she subsequently discusses its initial effects.
