Bien que les nouvelles technologies et l’intelligence artificielle promettent d’améliorer les soins en santé mentale, peu d’applications validées scientifiquement sont disponibles, particulièrement en français. Pour répondre à ce besoin, le Centre de recherche de l’Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal a fondé le Centre Axel pour accélérer la stratégie en santé numérique et pour faciliter l’innovation technologique pour la recherche et les soins en santé mentale. Ainsi, le Centre Axel s’adresse à un écosystème tripartite composé de la recherche, de la clinique et de l’entrepreneuriat. L’objectif de cet article est d’introduire un exemple d’application développée en collaboration avec le Centre Axel et de présenter comment le Centre peut répondre aux besoins des équipes de recherche. Cet exemple d’application est Tadeus, une application web bilingue qui permet aux spécialistes en santé mentale et à leurs partenaires (p. ex. proches, personnes intervenantes, personnes recevant des services) d’entrer et de partager des données afin d’effectuer un suivi plus rigoureux des interventions en santé mentale. En plus de présenter l’application, l’article discute des défis que peuvent présenter le développement, la pérennisation et la diffusion de telles applications ainsi que sur la manière dont le Centre Axel peut supporter les équipes de recherche pour surmonter ces derniers.

Abstract
Although new technologies and artificial intelligence promise to improve mental health care, few scientifically validated applications are available, particularly in French. To address this issue, Centre de recherche de l’Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal founded the Axel Center to accelerate the digital health strategy and to facilitate technological innovation for mental health research and care. The Axel Center thus addresses a tripartite ecosystem composed of research, clinical practice, and entrepreneurship. The purpose of this article is to introduce an example of an application developed in collaboration with the Axel Center and to present how the center can meet the needs of research teams. This example is Tadeus, a bilingual web application that allows mental health specialists and their partners (e.g. family members, caregivers, service recipients) to enter and share data to more rigorously monitor mental health interventions. In addition to presenting the application, the article discusses the challenges that can arise in the development, sustainability and dissemination of such applications, as well as how the Axel Centre can support research teams in overcoming these challenges.
