La pandémie de COVID-19 a engendré de profonds changements dans les modalités de prestation des soins de santé, notamment l’adoption rapide de la télésanté. Bien que certaines études aient exploré les avantages et les défis liés à la télésanté en contexte de pandémie, peu d’études se sont penchées sur les expériences de soins en télésanté d’individus vivant avec des troubles de santé mentale et des maladies physiques chroniques. Cet article propose d’explorer les perspectives de 29 usagers de services. Des entrevues semi-dirigées ont été réalisées dans le cadre d’une étude plus large basée sur des méthodes mixtes. Les participants ont été interrogés sur différentes dimensions de leurs expériences de soins, notamment l’accessibilité, la continuité, l’approche centrée sur la personne, ainsi que la globalité. Les transcriptions de ces entrevues ont fait l’objet d’une analyse thématique, à la fois déductive et inductive. Les résultats suggèrent que le virage vers la télésanté a contribué à maintenir l’accessibilité et la continuité des soins de santé pour la plupart des participants de l’étude. En revanche, ce virage n’a favorisé que de façon limitée une approche des soins centrée sur la personne et la globalité des soins, soulignant la nécessité d’améliorer ces aspects dans un objectif d’amélioration de la qualité et de pérennisation de la télésanté.

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant transformations in health care delivery, notably in the shift towards telehealth. While previous studies have shed light on the benefits and challenges of the rapid shift to telehealth, few studies have explored the telehealth care experiences of individuals with co-existing mental and physical health conditions. This article sets to explore the telehealth care experiences of 29 service users during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through semi-structured interviews conducted as part of a broader mixed-methods study, participants were asked about the accessibility, continuity, person-centredness and comprehensiveness of their care. Interview transcripts were analyzed using a mixed inductive-deductive approach. Findings suggest that telehealth helped maintain accessibility and continuity of care for many participants. There was also a perception that it raised challenges with respect to the person-centredness and comprehensiveness of care, highlighting areas that can be targeted for quality improvement.
