Abstract
This study explores the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic's health restrictions on family and social support during bereavement. Through interviews with 57 individuals, the results reveal that the pandemic has complicated the receipt and provision of support for the bereaved, amplifying challenges in their grief reactions. Key themes include complex family dynamics, self-imposed demands and double isolation. These findings highlight the crucial role of recognizing needs and emotions within family relationships to support the grieving process.
