Résumé
L’accompagnement et l’évaluation d’un étudiant pendant une expérience de stage d’enseignement sont des tâches exigeantes, confiées à un enseignant en exercice. Lorsque le stagiaire connaît des difficultés, ce « formateur de terrain » peut douter de ses propres compétences, s’interroger sur la légitimité de son rôle et l’amener à rechercher des ressources et des façons de faire. Ce texte présente les résultats d’une étude réalisée auprès d’enseignants qui ont eu à accompagner des stagiaires en difficulté. L’analyse de leurs propos révèle leur parcours d’accompagnement et d’évaluation, montrant qu’ils portent un jugement rapidement, dès le début du processus, et qu’ils assument pleinement leur rôle d’évaluateur.

Abstract
The coaching and assessment of preservice teachers during teacher training internships are very demanding tasks that are put in the hands of cooperating teachers. When the student teacher encounters difficulties, the cooperating teacher, this “field trainer”, may doubt of his own abilities, question the legitimacy of his role and lead him to look for resources and better approaches. This paper presents the results of a study conducted with teachers who supervised students who were facing difficulties. An analysis of their comments reveals their pattern of coaching and assessing and shows that they start to judge as soon as the process starts and that they fully assume their role as assessors.

O acompanhamento e a avaliação de um estudante durante uma experiência de estágio de ensino são tarefas exigentes, confiadas a um professor em exercício. Quando o estagiário sente dificuldades, este “formador de terreno” pode duvidar das suas próprias competências, questionar a legitimidade do seu papel e levá-lo a procurar recursos e formas de fazer. Este texto apresenta os resultados de um estudo realizado com professores que surpervisionavam estagiários com dificuldades. Uma análise aos seus comentários revela o seu padrão de acompanhamento e de avaliação e mostra que eles formulam um juízo logo no início do processo e que assumem plenamente o seu papel de avaliadores.
