Résumé
L’objet de cette contribution est de s’interroger sur le lien entre les fondateurs des nouvelles entreprises de biotechnologies et leur modèle d’entreprise. Cette recherche s’appuie sur l’analyse de 61 nouvelles entreprises de biotechnologies françaises (NEB) et de leurs 129 fondateurs. Elle s’inscrit dans le cadre des théories de la firme basées sur les ressources. Quatre modèles d’entreprise sont différenciés : produit, prestataire de service, plate-forme technologique, bio-santé. Les deux premiers se différencient des deux autres quant aux compétences des équipes de fondateurs, aux modes de valorisation de leur capital humain et des ressources technologiques et financières mobilisées pour assurer leur viabilité.

Abstract
This article highlights the link between founders and their business models. This research is based on comparison of 61 French DBFs and their 129 founders. It is in keeping with the resources’ firm theory. Four distinct business models are identified : product supplier, services provider, technology platform and healthcare. The two first business models are differentiated from the two others in terms of the competencies of founder teams, their human capital valorisation, technological base and financial resources mobilization.

El proposito de esta contribucion es interrogarse acerca al lazo entre los fundadores de las nuevas empresas de biotecnologias y su modelo de empresa. Esta busqueda se basa en el analisis de sesenta y una nuevas empresas de biotecnologias francesas (NEB) y en su ciento veinte y nueve fundadores. Se inscribe en el cuadro de las teorias de las firmas fundadas en los recursos. Cuatro modelos de empresas son diferenciados. producto: « prestataire de service », plataforma tecnologica, Bio-Salud. Los dos primeros se diferencian de los dos otros por las competencias de los equipos de fundadores, por los modos de valorizacion de su capital humano et por los recursos tecnologicos y financiarios para velar por su viabilidad.
Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag hat zum Ziel, die Beziehung zwischen den Gründern neuer Unternehmen in der Biotechnologie und ihrem Unternehmensmodell zu hinterfragen. Die Untersuchung stützt sich auf die Analyse von 61 neuen französischen Biotechnologie-Unternehmen und die 129 Gründer. Sie reiht sich in die Theorien über die ressourcen-basierten Unternehmen. Vier Unternehmensmodelle sind zu unterscheiden : Produkt, Dienstleistungslieferant, technologische Plattform, Bio-Gesundheit. Die beiden ersten unterschieden sich von den anderen Typen unter anderem in der Kompetenz der Gründer, in der Bewertungsart von ihrem menschlichen Kapital und den technologischen Ressourcen sowie den mobilisierten Finanzen um die Überlebensfähigkeit zu sichern.
