Les Carmes du Saulchoir est un livre rare, fruit de la collaboration entre le poète et critique littéraire Marc Quaghebeur et le photographe Marc Trivier. Il retrace un parcours initiatique marqué par la rencontre-épiphanie des visages, en l’occurrence ceux des artistes, peintres et écrivains, qui ont marqué sa trajectoire. Le texte sonde le lien qui se tisse entre l’artiste, le monde et l’Histoire et met en évidence la transfiguration inhérente à l’acte de création ainsi que sa portée éminemment éthique.

Abstract

Les Carmes du Saulchoir is a rare book, the fruit of collaboration between the poet and literary critic Marc Quaghebeur and the photographer Marc Trivier. It traces an initiatory journey marked by the encounter-epiphany of faces, in this case those of the artists, painters and writers, who marked his trajectory. The text probes the link that is woven between the artist, the world and History and highlights the transfiguration inherent in the act of creation as well as its eminently ethical significance.
