Résumé
Les grainothèques contribuent à l’optimisation des services et des ressources en bibliothèque. Elles fournissent aux usagers l’accès à des semences et à des informations connexes. Leur développement exige le concours de la bibliothèque sur trois plans :
Main-d’oeuvre : pour sa mise en place, une grainothèque nécessite la collaboration entre des départements d’une bibliothèque, entre des bibliothèques ainsi qu’avec des communautés et des experts en jardinage.
Technologies : les bibliothèques déploient des outils et logiciels pour soutenir leurs tâches ainsi que pour générer des statistiques sur leurs services à des fin de gestion et de démonstration auprès des gestionnaires et des élus.
Données : les bibliothèques appliquent des pratiques de gestion, de description et de diffusion de données différentes d’une bibliothèque à une autre selon le but de chaque grainothèque.
Dans cet article, ces trois plans seront détaillés et analysés à partir d’une revue de la littérature.
Abstract
Seed libraries contribute to the optimization of library services and resources. They provide users with access to seeds and related information. Their development requires the assistance of the library on three levels:
Workforce: for its deployment, a seed library requires collaboration between library departments, between libraries as well as with communities and gardening experts.
Technology: libraries deploy tools and software to support their tasks as well as to generate statistics on their services for management and demonstration purposes to managers and elected officials.
Data: libraries apply data management, description and dissemination practices that differ from one library to another depending on the purpose of each seed library.
In this article, these three plans will be detailed and analyzed based on a literature review.
