Résumé
Le radioroman Le Survenant, par son statut d’émission quotidienne, a obligé Germaine Guèvremont à ajouter des anecdotes et des personnages secondaires à ses textes originaux. Mais qu’en a-t-il été de ses principaux personnages, de Phonsine en particulier? On peut en effet se demander si la jeune femme, qui a toujours cherché sa place dans les romans, a enfin pu trouver sur les ondes un moyen d’exprimer ses pensées, de faire entendre sa voix. Une analyse partielle des textes du radioroman montre toutefois que le personnage a subi certaines transformations intéressantes sans pour autant parvenir à asseoir une autorité discursive qui lui aurait permis d’occuper un espace symbolique plus marquant.
Abstract
Because the radio novel Le Survenant was broadcast every day, Germaine Guèvremont was forced to add anecdotes and secondary characters to her original texts. But what of her main characters, especially Phonsine? One may wonder if the young woman, always searching for her place in the novels, finally found a way of expressing her thoughts and making her voice heard on the air. Partial analysis of the radio novel texts shows that the character went through a number of interesting transformations, without, however, succeeding in establishing a discursive authority that would have allowed her to occupy a larger symbolic space.

La radionovela Le Survenant, por su condición de emisión diaria, obligó a Germaine Guèvremont a agregar anécdotas y personajes secundarios a sus textos originales. Pero ¿qué sucedió con sus principales personajes, y en particular con Phonsine? En efecto, se puede uno preguntar si la joven, que siempre buscó su lugar en las novelas, pudo encontrar por fin en las ondas un medio para expresar sus pensamientos, para hacer oír su voz. No obstante, un análisis parcial de los textos de la radionovela muestra que el personaje ha experimentado algunas transformaciones interesantes, sin por ello lograr sentar una autoridad discursiva que le hubiese permitido ocupar un espacio simbólico más destacado.
