Résumé
Nombre de commentateurs ont décelé des inflexions, des discontinuités voire une véritable "coupure" dans l'itinéraire intellectuel de Durkheim. En s'appuyant sur l'état actuel de nos connaissances sur sa biographie tant intellectuelle que personnelle, il est possible de caractériser et dater assez précisément cette rupture contemporaine de Suicide. Même si plusieurs interprétations de Durkheim le présentent comme la sociologie de l'anomie, le concept d'anomie est loin d'être central dans l'ensemble de son œuvre : la production de ce concept coïncide avec une phase critique - anomique - de la biographie intellectuelle du père fondateur de la sociologie française.
Summary
A number of commentators have detected shifts, discontinuities, or even a real "break" in Durkheim's intellectual itinerary. On the strength of our present knowledge of his biography, both intellectual and personal, this break may be characterized and dated quite precisely as contemporary to his work Le suicide. Even though many interpretations of Durkheim situate him within the sociology of anomie, the concept of anomie is far from central to his work as a whole. The development of this concept coincides with a critical phase - characterized by anomie - in the intellectual biography of the founding father of French sociology.

Muchos comentadores han encontrado inflexiones, discontinuidades, e incluso un verdadero "corte" en el itinerario intelectual de Durkheim. Apoyándose en el estado actual del conocimiento sobre su biografía tanto intelectual como personal es posible caracterizar y dar fechas precisas a esta ruptura contemporánea del Suicidio. A pesar que varias interpretaciones presentan a Durkheim como el sociólogo de la anomia, este concepto esta lejos de ser central en el conjunto de su obra : la producción de este concepto coincide con una fase crítica-anómica- de la biografía intelectual del padre fundador de la sociología francesa.
