Résumé
Cette contribution se propose de clarifier la définition de la vertu éthique aristotélicienne donnée au livre II de chacune des Éthiques, au moyen des différentes illustrations auxquelles elle a donné lieu dans la littérature. La démonstration porte d’abord sur le traditionnel schéma linéaire, à revoir, et chemine vers le modèle cruciforme, lequel sera perfectionné en fonction des indications du Stagirite.
Abstract
This paper aims at clarifying the Aristotelian definition of the moral virtue given in the second book of each Ethics by using the various illustrations of this characterization found into literature. The demonstration first bears on the traditional linear plan, which is to be corrected, and goes on to the cross model, which will be refined according to the information from the Ethics.
