Résumé
La collaboration dans les cours d’arts plastiques s’établit grâce à un amalgame d’étudiant·es, de matériaux, d’idées et de compétences. Cet assemblage de facteurs humains et non humains peut créer des expériences pédagogiques uniques pour les étudiant·es au premier cycle universitaire. L’idée de l’artiste comme génie solitaire persiste depuis le modernisme, malgré le fait que de nombreuses galeries, biennales et foires d’art ont accepté la collaboration comme mode de création artistique. Dans cette étude, nous examinons les expériences en collaboration des étudiant·es en création au sein de groupes d’étudiant·es, d’artistes professionnel·les et issus des institutions postsecondaires.

Abstract
Collaboration in the studio art classroom is an amalgamation of students, materials, ideas, and skills. This assemblage of human and non-human factors can create unique pedagogical experiences for students. However, the idea of the artist as a lone genius persists from modernism despite the fact that many galleries, biennials, and art fairs have embraced collaboration as a way of art making. In this article we look at the experiences of students, professional artists, and post-secondary instructors who utilize collaboration.
