Résumé
L’objectif de cette étude était d’observer si des soignants français, infirmier(e)s et aides-soignants(e)s, adaptaient leurs explications relatives aux causes de leur épuisement professionnel afin de répondre aux attentes normatives de l’organisation de travail (Dubois, 2003). Quatre-vingt-neuf soignants ont répondu à un questionnaire d’autoprésentation. Les résultats ont effectivement montré une plus grande clairvoyance, c’est-à-dire une meilleure connaissance de ces attentes normatives 1) en matière de valorisation sociale des explications relatives à l’effort (explications internes et contrôlables) et face à un supérieur davantage que face à des collègues et amis; 2) davantage chez les soignants-cadres que chez les non-cadres. La discussion porte sur la pertinence, en termes de prévention, d’une analyse socionormative du discours relatif à l’épuisement professionnel.

Abstract
The objective of this study was to observe if French caregivers, nurses and auxiliary nurses, adapted their explanations regarding the causes of their professional exhaustion in order to meet the normative expectations of occupational organization (Dubois, 2003). Eighty-nine caregivers answered a self-presentation questionnaire. The results effectively showed a greater clear-sightedness, i.e. a better knowledge of these normative expectations 1) of the social value of the explanations related to the effort (internal and controllable explanations) and more in front of a superior than in front of colleagues and friends; 2) amongst managers more than amongst non-managers. The discussion focuses on the relevance, in terms of prevention, of a socio-normative analysis of the discourse on professional exhaustion.
