Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the stakeholder involvement process in a CSR certification project launched by an SME. Reviewing literature in stakeholder theory, we noticed that organisations usually receive pressure from their stakeholders ; however, they can also defend their positions by enacting requirements regulating stakeholder participation in the decision-making process. In this case, organisations tend to create alliances and involve their stakeholders around a common problem. Little is known about how organisations can get the involvement of their influential stakeholders. Combining literature on stakeholder management and the Actor Network Theory, we propose a new analytical framework, develop propositions and provide keys for the stakeholder involvement.
