Démarrer un groupe de psychothérapie analytique

Résumé

Cet article présente le travail que nécessite la mise en place d’un nouveau groupe de psychothérapie. À la suite de la description du dispositif thérapeutique utilisé dans l’organisme où il exerce sa pratique, l’auteur développe de quelle manière l’institution, de même que les filiations et les romans familiaux des psychothérapeutes, viennent influencer la fondation du groupe. Il illustre ensuite comment l’analyse intertransférentielle permet de dévoiler les enjeux inconscients présents dans la mise en place des assises du groupe, un travail d’arrimage entre l’institution et les psychothérapeutes, de même qu’entre les co-thérapeutes. Le récit des premières séances explicite de quelle façon la création d’une enveloppe psychique groupale vient contenir les diverses angoisses suscitées par la mise en groupe et offre un espace à l’intérieur duquel se déroule le processus thérapeutique.

Abstract

This article presents the work involved in setting up a new psychotherapy group. Following a description of the therapeutic framework used in the organization where he practices, the author outlines how the institution, as well as the filiations and family narratives of the psychotherapists, influence the founding of the group. He then illustrates how the intertransference analysis helps reveal unconscious phenomena involved in establishing the group’s foundations, the interconnection between the institution and the psychotherapists, as well as between the co-therapists. The account of the first sessions of a psychotherapy group illustrates how the group psychic envelope helps contain the anxieties triggered by the group setting and provides a space within which the therapeutic process unfolds.
