Art oral, le conte du renouveau repose sur un hic et nunc énonciatif qui appelle une double présence : celle de l’artiste ; celle de son auditoire. Le conte oral n’existe en effet que lorsqu’il est proféré et entendu. Dans ce contexte, on comprendra que l’adresse (sous forme d’apostrophe ou autre) est le procédé rhétorique privilégié par les conteurs afin d’engager l’attention de leur auditoire. Cet article réfléchit aux enjeux formels et esthétiques de l’adresse en contexte de conte pour ensuite en découvrir les corollaires éthiques. Dans la mesure où « la capacité d’échanger des expériences » (Benjamin) se trouve au coeur de l’acte de conter, l’adresse du conte serait tout autant un appel à être entendu qu’un appel à entendre l’autre. Ce faisant, l’article éprouve l’hypothèse selon laquelle le procédé formel d’apostrophe, dans l’art du conte, ne trouve son sens plein que dans la dimension sociale, voire biopolitique de la multitude (Negri), de sa réalisation.
Abstract
As an oral art form, tales of the storytelling revival are based on a here and now utterance that calls for a twofold presence: the artist, and the artist’s audience. The oral tale, after all, can only exist insofar as it is both spoken and heard. In this context, addressing the audience (through apostrophe or some other form) is the storyteller’s preferred rhetorical device to engage listeners’ interest. This article considers first the formal and aesthetic issues involved in addressing the audience in a storytelling context, and then its ethical implications. To the extent that the “ability to exchange experiences” (Benjamin) is at the heart of the act of storytelling, the address involved in a tale may be understood as a call to be heard and, equally, a call to hear the other. The article tests the hypothesis that the formal procedure of the apostrophe in storytelling can only find its full meaning in the social dimension, or even in the biopolitics of the multitude (Negri), in which it is realized.

Arte oral, el cuento del renuevo se basa en un quid et nunc enunciativo que requiere una doble presencia: la del artista y la de su auditorio. En efecto, el cuento oral tan sólo existe cuando se emite y se oye. En este contexto, se comprenderá que el ingenio (en forma de apóstrofe u otra) es el procedimiento retórico privilegiado de los cuentistas, a fin de llamar la atención de su auditorio. En este artículo, se reflexiona sobre los retos formales y estéticos del ingenio en contexto de cuento, para descubrir luego sus corolarios éticos. En la medida en que “la capacidad para intercambiar experiencias” (Benjamin) se encuentra en el centro del acto de contar, el ingenio del cuento sería tanto un llamamiento para ser oído como un llamamiento para oír al otro. Al mismo tiempo, dicho artículo comprueba la hipótesis según la cual el procedimiento formal de apóstrofe, en el arte del cuento, cobra su pleno sentido tan sólo en la dimensión social, incluso biopolítica de la multitud (Negri), de su realización.
