Cette étude s’intéresse aux attitudes du futur personnel enseignant envers les personnes homosexuelles et bisexuelles, en lien avec ses connaissances sur la diversité des rôles et des comportements sexuels ainsi que sur les réalités des jeunes homosexuels et bisexuels des deux sexes. L’échantillon, composé de 82 étudiantes et étudiants québécois du Baccalauréat en enseignement secondaire, a été invité à remplir un questionnaire comportant deux échelles de 51 et 14 items afin d’évaluer respectivement leurs connaissances et leurs attitudes. Les résultats des analyses descriptives indiquent que le futur personnel enseignant a peu de connaissances sur les trois aspects évalués, et qu’il manifeste des attitudes plus ou moins positives envers les personnes homosexuelles et bisexuelles. De plus, les résultats des analyses corrélationnelles montrent qu’il existe une relation positive entre les connaissances sur les rôles et comportements sexuels et les attitudes de l’échantillon. Enfin, l’étude identifie des pistes relatives à la formation du personnel enseignant.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the links between the participants’ knowledge about sexual stereotypes, sexual behavior and realities of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth, on one hand, and their attitudes towards homosexuality and bisexuality, on the other hand. Eighty-two Quebec students from different bachelor’s programs in Secondary Education answered a questionnaire composed of two scales of 51 and 14 items to identify their knowledge and their attitudes respectively. Descriptive statistics showed that these future teachers knew little about the three topics evaluated and that their attitudes toward homosexual and bisexual people were “more or less positive”. In addition, correlational statistics showed a positive link between knowledge about sexual stereotypes, sexual behavior and participants’ attitudes. In conclusion, the study suggests new ways to improve training programs for future teachers.

El presente estudio se interesa en las relaciones entre las actitudes hacia las personas homosexuales y bisexuales del futuro personal docente y sus conocimientos sobre roles sexuales, comportamientos sexuales y realidades de los jóvenes homosexuales y bisexuales. La muestra compuesta por 82 estudiantes quebequenses de distintas licenciaturas en educación secundaria respondió un cuestionario compuesto por dos secciones. La primera de 54 ítems para identificar sus conocimientos y, la segunda, de 14 ítems para identificar sus actitudes. Los resultados de los análisis descriptivos evidencian que el futuro personal docente tiene poco conocimiento sobre los tres temas evaluados y que posee actitudes “más o menos positivas” hacia las personas homosexuales y bisexuales. Además, los resultados de los análisis de correlación establecen una relación positiva entre los conocimientos sobre la diversidad de roles y comportamientos sexuales y las actitudes de los participantes. Así, el presente estudio identifica nuevas pistas para mejorar la formación del personal docente.
