Résumé
Le présent article vise à étudier les liens entre l’engagement professionnel, le surengagement, le sousrengagement et le bien-être personnel auprès d’un échantillon de 223 enseignants québécois. Les participants ont rempli une série de questionnaires autoadministrés incluant le Questionnaire multimodal d’engagement professionnel et plusieurs échelles mesurant le bien-être. De façon générale, les régressions standard et hiérarchiques ont démontré que l’engagement optimal et ses composantes sont liés positivement au bien-être, alors que le surengagement et le sousrengagement ainsi que leurs composantes sont liés négativement au bien-être. Les limites et les pistes de recherches futures sont discutées.

Abstract
This article explores the associations between professional commitment, over-commitment and under-commitment and personal well-being in a sample of 223 teachers from the province of Québec. The participants completed a battery of self-reported questionnaires, including the Questionnaire multimodal d’engagement professionnel and several scales assessing well-being. Overall, standard and hierarchical regression analyses showed that optimal commitment and its components are positively associated with well-being while over-commitment and under-commitment and their respective components are negatively associated with well-being. Limitations and future research directions are discussed.

Resumen
Este artículo se propone estudiar las relaciones entre la implicación profesional, el exceso de implicación, el defecto de implicación y el bienestar personal en una muestra de 223 maestros de Québec. Los participantes rellenaron una serie de cuestionarios autoadministrados, incluyendo el Cuestionario multimodal de implicación profesional, así como varias escalas de medida del bienestar. De manera general, las regresiones estándar y jerárquicas muestran que una implicación óptima y sus componentes están relacionadas positivamente con el bienestar, mientras que el exceso de implicación y el defecto de implicación, así como sus componentes, están relacionados negativamente al bienestar. Se discuten también los límites de esta investigación, así como las futuras pistas de investigación.
