Abstract
This article explores the way in which contemporary film engages posthumanism through robotic, artificial intelligence, and cyborg subjectivities. Drawing on the critical perspectives of Rosi Braidotti, Donna Haraway, and N. Katherine Hayles, the study examines how films such as Ex Machina (2014), and Blade Runner 2049 (2017) interrogate the boundaries of human/non-human existence. Rather than simply representing techno-utopian or dystopian visions, the films stage philosophical and ethical interrogations into consciousness, embodiment, memory, and agency. By rendering non-human viewpoints ontologically prominent and evading anthropocentric assumptions, posthuman cinema both reflects and generates cultural anxieties about technological change, biopolitics, and environmental catastrophe.

Cet article explore la manière dont le cinéma contemporain engage le posthumanisme à travers des subjectivités robotiques, artificielles et cyborgs. En s’appuyant sur les perspectives critiques de Rosi Braidotti, Donna Haraway et N. Katherine Hayles, l’étude examine comment des films tels que Ex Machina (2014) et Blade Runner 2049 (2017) interrogent les frontières de l’existence humaine et non humaine. Plutôt que de simplement représenter des visions technoutopiques ou dystopiques, ces films mettent en scène des interrogations philosophiques et éthiques sur la conscience, l’incarnation, la mémoire et l’agency. En rendant les points de vue non humains ontologiquement saillants et en contournant les présupposés anthropocentriques, le cinéma posthumain reflète et génère à la fois des angoisses culturelles liées au changement technologique, à la biopolitique et à la catastrophe environnementale.
