Résumé
À la croisée des chemins, l’Inde doit conclure plusieurs accords de libre-échange afin de développer son parc industriel et multiplier ses exportations. L’annonce d’une entente commerciale au sein du Partenariat transpacifique (ptp) exerce des pressions sur l’accélération de ses propres négociations avec ses partenaires économiques. Pour l’Inde, l’Asie de l’Est demeure une cible de choix si l’on se fie au retour de la « Look East » policy. Néanmoins, l’Inde doit composer avec la puissance chinoise, qui demeure un acteur incontournable dans les négociations commerciales comme le Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (rcep). Cet article rapporte les réactions indiennes au ptp et souligne les conséquences d’un tel accord sur l’Inde.

Abstract
India is at a crossroads. To develop its industrial capacity and boost exports, the country needs to sign new free trade agreements. The announcement of a trade agreement as part of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (tpp) is putting pressure on India to speed up its own negotiations with trade partners. East Asia is an ideal target for India, if a return to the Look East policy is any indication. However, India has to deal with China, a central player in trade negotiations such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (rcep). This article examines Indian reactions to the tpp and highlights the consequences of such an agreement for India.

En un punto de inflexión, la India debe celebrar varios acuerdos de libre comercio con el fin de desarrollar su parque industrial y multiplicar sus exportaciones. El anuncio de un convenio comercial dentro del Acuerdo de Asociación Transpacífico (tpp) ejerce presiones en la aceleración de sus propias negociaciones con sus socios económicos. Para India, Asia Oriental sigue siendo un objetivo privilegiado si nos fiamos a la vuelta de la “Look East” policy. Sin embargo, la India debe lidiar con la potencia china, que sigue siendo un actor fundamental en las negociaciones comerciales como la Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (rcep). Este artículo relata las reacciones de la India al tpp y destaca las consecuencias de tal tratado en dicho país.
