Résumé

L’objet de la présente contribution est de dégager les éléments nécessaires à la construction d’une sociologie herméneutique. Selon une première orientation (macro-herméneutique), il s’agit de mettre à l’épreuve l’analogie du monde du texte et du monde social en objectivant leurs structures internes. Selon une seconde orientation (herméneutique historique), il s’agit d’historiciser les institutions sociales du sens à l’appui d’une sociogenèse. Selon une troisième orientation (micro-herméneutique), il s’agit de saisir le monde social comme acte, comme interprétation et mis en scène en situation. Si la « structure », « l’historicité » et « l’acte » ne sont perceptibles respectivement que sous un point de vue particulier et à la faveur d’outils méthodologiques différents (sémiologiques, socio-historiques, ethnographiques), c’est néanmoins de leur entrecroisement que le monde social peut apparaitre dans toute son ampleur. Bien que les structures sociales du sens apparaissent comme un ordre stratifié, stabilisé et autonomisé, elles n’ont rien d’anhistorique : des institutions sociales du sens naissent, s’autonomisent et se transforment (et parfois disparaissent).

Abstract

This article seeks to identify the elements necessary for the construction of a hermeneutic sociology. A first approach (macro hermeneutics) involves testing the analogy of the textual world and the social world by objectifying their internal structures. A second approach (historical hermeneutics) involves historicizing meaningful social institutions in support of a sociogenesis. A third approach (micro hermeneutics) involves understanding the social world as action, as interpretation and as situational scenario. If “structure,” “historicity” and “action” are only perceptible, respectively, from a particular point of view and using different methodological tools (semiological, sociohistorical, ethnographic), it is nevertheless through their interplay that the social world can be seen in all its breadth. While meaningful social structures appear as stratified, stabilized and empowered, there is nothing ahistorical about them : meaningful institutions are born, become empowered and change (and sometimes disappear).

El objetivo de la presente contribución es identificar los elementos necesarios para la construcción de una sociología hermenéutica. Según una primera orientación (macro-hermenéutica), se trata de poner a prueba la analogía del mundo del texto y del mundo social, objetivando para ello sus estructuras internas. Según una segunda orientación (hermenéutica histórica), se trata de historiar las instituciones sociales del sentido apoyándose en una socio-génesis. Según una tercera orientación (micro-hermenéutica), se trata de entender el mundo social como un acto, como una interpretación, como una puesta en escena. Si la “estructura”, la “historicidad” y el “acto” son respectivamente perceptibles sólo bajo un punto de vista particular y gracias a diferentes herramientas metodológicas (semiológicas, socio-históricas, etnográficas), es sólo a partir de su entrecruzamiento que el mundo social puede aparecer en toda su amplitud. Si bien las estructuras sociales del sentido aparecen como un orden estratificado, establecido y autónomo, ellas no tienen nada de ahistóricas: las instituciones sociales del sentido nacen, se autonomizan y se transforman (y a veces desaparecen).
