Résumé
Cet article examine le développement du régime du savoir apporté par l'institution du gouvernement représentatif au Canada-Uni. Il fait valoir que la statistique est une forme typique du savoir d'État, savoir né dans un processus de normalisation administrative, et qu'elle est basée également sur l'échange marchand. Il démontre que la statistique a un caractère réflexif.
Summary
This paper examines the development of the system of knowledge brought about by the setting up of representative government in United Canada. It argues that statistics are a typical form of state knowledge, knowledge that is bom of the process of administrative normalization, and also based on the exchange of commodities. Statistical knowledge is shown to be reflexive in nature.
Resumen
Este artículo examina el desarrollo de un régimen del saber aportado por la institución del gobierno representativo del Canadá-Unido. Se afirma que la estadística es una forma típica del saber del Estado, un saber nacido en un proceso de normailización administrativo, y basado igualmente en el intercambio mercantil. Se demuestra que la estadística tiene un carácter reflexivo.
