Résumé
Cette étude documente les perceptions d’hommes ayant subi des abus sexuels durant l’enfance au sujet des services qu’ils ont reçus au sein de ressources spécialisées en victimisation sexuelle au masculin. Un total de dix hommes ont pris part à des entrevues semi-structurées dans les mois suivant leur utilisation des services. Les résultats d’une analyse thématique du contenu témoignent de l’importance de l’expérience en groupe dans le parcours de demande d’aide des participants et des apports bénéfiques de l’aide mutuelle dans leur processus de rétablissement. Parmi ces apports positifs, les hommes ont cité notamment les liens qu’ils ont développés, l’entraide qui a pu en émerger ainsi que les retombées positives dans plusieurs sphères de leur vie. Ils rapportent également un niveau de satisfaction généralement élevé face aux services reçus. Les résultats de l’étude rendent compte des apports prometteurs d’une approche intégrée, permettant d’allier un modèle axé sur l’aide mutuelle à une approche sensible au traumatisme tenant compte de la socialisation masculine.

Abstract
This study documented the perceptions of men survivor of childhood sexual abuse on services they received in specialized resources in Quebec. Thematic content analyzes were performed based on interviews with ten men who used specialized services for male victim, after their participation. The analyze of their testimonies indicated that their experience of group work was deemed positive into their helpseeking journeys, notably through the relationships they built within the group and the positive outcomes they reported in various area of their lives. Moreover, the participants generally reported a high level of satisfaction regarding the services they received. An integrated model that allows to combine a model focused on mutual aid with a trauma and gender sensitive approach appears as a promising modality for treating men who were sexually abused during childhood.
