Résumé
L’objectif de cet article est de présenter les résultats d’une étude portant sur le point de vue des préposées aux bénéficiaires sur le développement d’une initiative organisationnelle en centre d’hébergement et de soins de longue durée (CHSLD), celle des « micro-milieux adaptés ». Nous avons réalisé 28 entrevues semi-dirigées auprès de préposées, autour de deux thématiques : les conséquences organisationnelles d’un tel développement pour leur pratique, et leur perception d’avoir (ou non) développé une spécialisation dans le cadre des micro-milieux. Nos résultats mettent de l’avant la prédominance de problématiques organisationnelles classiques en CHSLD (manque de main-d’oeuvre, faible sentiment de reconnaissance, etc.) malgré une initiative qui promettait d’être participative et valorisante.

Abstract
This article presents the results of a study examining nurse aides’ perspectives on the development of an organizational initiative in long-term care centres (CHSLDs) termed “adapted micro-environments.” We conducted 28 semi-structured interviews with nurse aides around two themes: the organizational consequences of such a development for their practice, and their perception of developing (or not) a specialization within these micro-environments. Despite an initiative that promised to be participatory and rewarding, our results highlight the predominance of classic organizational issues in CHSLDs (e.g., staff shortages, poor recognition).
