Résumé
Dans cet article, les autrices proposent deux brèves études de cas du Royaume d’Eswatini. Il s’agit en particulier de décrire les initiatives de deux établissements d’enseignement supérieur de ce petit pays d’Afrique australe face à la pandémie de COVID‑19. Alors que la fermeture des établissements scolaires était obligatoire (selon la décision du gouvernement), certaines universités ont essayé de s’ouvrir plus au numérique. D’importantes leçons peuvent être tirées de ces études de cas. Celles-ci seront présentées dans la dernière partie du document.

Abstract
In this paper the authors share two short case studies from the Kingdom of Eswatini. Selected initiatives by tertiary institutions from the small Southern African country will showcase reactions from the education sector to the global COVID‑19 pandemic. While the closure of educational institutions was mandatory (as per government’s decision), some institutions went online (or partially online) and others did not. Important lessons can be drawn from these case studies. These will be presented in the final part of the paper.
