Résumé
Denis Nadeau était professeur spécialisé en droit du travail à la Section de droit civil de la Faculté de droit de l’Université d’Ottawa pendant 40 ans et arbitre de grief pendant plus de 30 ans. Ses publications sur l’arbitrage de griefs et ses quelque 585 sentences arbitrales témoignent de son engagement soutenu en tant qu’universitaire et décideur. Ce texte est un hommage à cette remarquable carrière, se situant au carrefour des deux communautés dans lesquelles le professeur Nadeau s’est démarqué : celle de l’université et celle de l’arbitrage en droit du travail.

Abstract
Denis Nadeau served as a professor of labour law in the Civil Law Section of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa for forty years, and as a grievance arbitrator for over thirty years. His publications on grievance arbitration, together with his approximately 415 arbitral awards, attest to his sustained dedication as both a scholar and an adjudicator. This text honours Professor Nadeau’s distinguished career, situated at the intersection of two professional spheres in which he made a lasting contribution : the academic community and the field of labour arbitration.
