Abstract
The growing importance of entrepreneurship prompts us to question the ways in which this notion is approached in the media, as entrepreneurialism touches on different facets of society. Entrepreneurialism is seen as an ideology that sees entrepreneurship as a solution for everyone and everything. The media help to spread this notion throughout a country’s culture. Based on the five main national general-interest titles of the French press, and covering the period from 2001 to 2022, all articles mentioning entrepreneurship were surveyed. Using automated textual analysis, the results allow us to detail how newspapers write about entrepreneurship in terms of macro and microrepresentation. Our results show that the treatment of entrepreneurship is becoming more diversified, thus contributing to the spread of entrepreneurialism.
