Biographical note
Katrina Simmons is an Australian artist, writer and lecturer who holds a PhD in Visual Arts from the University of South Australia. Her doctoral project, titled Fallen and Upright: Failure as a generative site for contemporary art practice, is a studio-based investigation concerned with the breakdowns and ruptures that occur between the internalised anxieties of the artist and contemporary socio-cultural and political systems.
