L’utopie, contrée fertile de l’aventure électroacoustique Utopia, Fertile Country of the Electroacoustic Adventure

Résumé

Le discours spéculatif et les utopies productives qui en sont le résultat se situent en amont de la production musicale de l’avant-garde contemporaine. Les crises du modernisme du XX^e siècle ont été déclenchées par l’avènement d’utopies productives qui ont su stimuler l’imaginaire et insuffler l’énergie du dépassement. Dans cet article, on verra comment l’écoute réduite, la quête de l’archétype musical et d’une certaine communication musicale ainsi que le développement d’une réflexion théorique avec son caractère hautement spéculatif participent au projet utopique de l’aventure électroacoustique et contribuent à en stimuler le caractère inventif.

Abstract

Speculative discourse and the productive utopias that result from it are at the source of contemporary avant-garde musical production. The crises of modernism in the 20^th century were sparked by the advent of productive utopias that were able to stimulate the imagination and to instill the energy to exceed limits. In this article we will see how reduced listening, the search for musical archetypes and for a certain musical communication as well as the development of a theoretical reflection with a highly speculative character participate in the utopian project of the electroacoustic adventure and contribute to the stimulation of its inventive character.
