Résumé
Dans le contexte d’une analyse de la géographie dans les années 1970, ce texte aborde le domaine de l’aménagement du territoire et en particulier la problématique de l’aménagement régional au Québec. Cette problématique permet de dégager les tendances qui se confrontent dans les années 1970 au sujet de la structuration du territoire québécois. Le texte analyse certains projets gouvernementaux et les réactions qu’ils ont suscitées. Il cherche à montrer que cette analyse permet de dégager les bases des politiques qui ont été appliquées par la suite et qui reflètent les compromis institutionnels donnant lieu à une approche originale au Québec, une approche hybride basée sur la concertation, à laquelle les géographes et la géographie ont contribué.

Abstract
Produced within the context of an analysis of geography in the 1970s, this paper addresses the issue of territorial change in Quebec, particularly regional development. An analysis of regional development in the 1970s enables geographers to identify the competing political trends related to the territorial organization of the province; it sheds light on a range of government policies as well as objections to them, and attempts to show that this analysis of the roots of policies implemented subsequently and bearing all the marks of institutional consensus, is anchored in a hybrid approach that is new in Quebec politics. This approach, the result of opposition and compromise in the 1970s, was actively supported by the work of geographers and anyone connected with geography.

Resumen
Según un cuadro analítico de la Geografía de los años 1970, el presente texto aborda el tema de la Ordenación Territorial en Quebec, particularmente la problemática de su ordenación regional. Esta problemática permite de separar las tendencias que se confrontaban en los años 1970, concernientes a la estructuración del territorio quebequense. El texto analiza ciertos proyectos gubernamentales y las reacciones que éstos suscitaron. Trata de demostrar que el presente análisis permite de aislar los fundamentos de políticas que fueron aplicadas posteriormente, reflejando así compromisos institucionales que han permitido un enfoque original en Quebec, enfoque híbrido basado en la concertación, gracias a la contribución de geógrafos y de la Geografía.
