Abstract
Pathways to Education/Passeport pour ma réussite is a national, charitable organization breaking the cycle of poverty through education. The award-winning Pathways Program creates positive social change by supporting youth living in low-income communities to overcome barriers to education, graduate from high school, and build the foundation for a successful future. Through the collective power of partnerships, Pathways to Education’s innovative program is preparing youth for tomorrow. Throughout his high school years, Thomas Lafond benefited from the organization’s services. He shares with us the impact of the support he received on his own path.
Résumé
Le programme Pathways to Education/Passeport pour ma réussite est un organisme de bienfaisance national qui brise le cycle de la pauvreté par l’éducation. Ce programme crée un changement social positif en aidant les jeunes vivant dans des communautés à faible revenu à surmonter les obstacles à l’éducation, à obtenir leur diplôme d’études secondaires et à jeter les bases d’un avenir réussi. Grâce à la force collective des partenariats, le programme Passeport pour ma réussite prépare les jeunes à l’avenir. Tout au long de ses années au secondaire, le coauteur Thomas Lafond a bénéficié des services de l’organisme. Dans ce texte, il partage avec nous l’impact du soutien qu’il a reçu sur son propre parcours.
