Ce volume présente une étude sociolinguistique et linguistique de la néologie en terminologie arabe. Il place d’abord la question dans la perspective de l’aménagement linguistique en vue d’en déterminer les caractéristiques et les facteurs sociaux, politiques, économiques et historiques qui l’influencent.

Ensuite, il entreprend une étude descriptive et critique du système de la langue arabe basée sur les théories courantes en arabe et les théories linguistiques contemporaines et un corpus terminographique élargi.

This volume presents a sociolinguistic and linguistic study of neology in Arabic terminology. It first deals with the question from the point of view of language planning in order to determine the social, political, economic and historical factors and characteristics influencing this linguistic process. It then proceeds with a descriptive and critical study of the Arabic language system based on the current Arabic linguistic theories and the contemporary linguistic theories and an important terminographic corpus.
