Les membres du personnel de la sécurité publique (PSP) sont régulièrement exposés à des situations potentiellement traumatiques pouvant nuire à leur santé mentale. Malgré l’importance des besoins, l’accès aux soins demeure limité en raison de contraintes d’horaire, du manque de temps, de la stigmatisation et de l’éloignement géographique. Dans ce contexte, la thérapie cognitive et comportementale sur Internet constitue une solution accessible et flexible permettant aux PSP d’obtenir du soutien en tout temps et en tout lieu. PSPNET est un programme de thérapie cognitive et comportementale sur Internet conçu pour soutenir la santé mentale des PSP au Canada, notamment au Québec, en abordant différents troubles comme l’anxiété, la dépression et le trouble de stress post-traumatique. La présente étude s’intéresse à la démarche « Développement du bien-être du PSP », offerte avec un suivi possible par une ou un psychothérapeute. Une analyse qualitative des rétroactions écrites de 113 usagères et usagers ayant complété un questionnaire de satisfaction a été réalisée. Les résultats montrent que 88 % ont développé des compétences jugées utiles et que 91 % ont apprécié différents aspects de la démarche, notamment le suivi thérapeutique. Toutefois, 51 % ont mentionné certains éléments moins appréciés, comme le rythme perçu comme trop rapide. Des effets indésirables ont été rapportés par 18 % des usagères et usagers, alors que 12 % ont formulé des suggestions d’amélioration. Des différences nuancées selon le genre ont également été observées.

Abstract
Public safety personnel (PSP) are regularly exposed to potentially traumatic situations that may negatively affect their mental health. Despite the significant need for care, access to mental health services remains limited due to scheduling constraints, lack of time, stigma, and geographic distance. In this context, Internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy represents an accessible and flexible solution that allows PSP to receive support anytime and anywhere. PSPNET is an Internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy program designed to support the mental health of PSP across Canada, including in Quebec, by addressing various mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The present study focuses on the “PSP Well-Being Course”, offered with optional support from a psychotherapist. A qualitative analysis of written feedback from 113 users who completed a satisfaction questionnaire was conducted. Results showed that 88 % developed skills they considered useful and that 91 % appreciated various aspects of the course, particularly therapist support. However, 51 % mentioned less appreciated elements, such as the pace being perceived as too fast. Negative effects were reported by 18 % of users, while 12 % suggested improvements to the program. Nuanced gender differences were also observed.
