Ce texte en trois parties présente un compte-rendu annoté de l’ouvrage de Witkowski et Zatonski (2015), Psychology Gone Wrong. The Dark Sides of Science and Therapy, qui n’est pas tendre à l’égard d’une certaine psychologie contemporaine. La première partie est centrée sur la présentation de quelques cas de fraude qui ont marqué son histoire. La deuxième partie aborde certaines pratiques condamnables de la psychothérapie, s’interroge sur son efficacité et examine quelques mythes à propos de la psychologie clinique. La troisième partie traite du problème du business de la psychologie clinique.

Abstract

This three-part article presents an annotated review of Witkowski and Zatonski (2015), Psychology Gone Wrong. The Dark Sides of Science and Therapy, a book hitting hard on a certain side of contemporary psychology. The first part focuses on the presentation of a few cases of fraud that have marked the history of psychology. The second part discusses some reprehensible practices of psychotherapy, its effectiveness and some myths about clinical psychology. The third part deals with the problem of the business of clinical psychology.
