Abstracts
Résumé
L’étude des rapports entre tourisme et santé est une approche particulièrement riche pour la recherche en sciences sociales. Elle permet d’aborder le développement local sous des angles variés tout en portant un regard critique sur les retombées du tourisme. En effet, la santé devrait constituer un indicateur, un révélateur de ces retombées. Or, si historiquement le lien est indéniable, dans les lectures actuelles, tourisme et santé sont rarement appréhendés de façon conjointe. S’appuyant sur une étude de cas dans la destination touristique de Cancún – Riviera Maya, ce texte dresse un état des lieux de ce lien et, se fondant sur des constats de terrain, suggère des pistes de recherche à partir de l’hypothèse majeure que la santé est un relatif impensé de la planification touristique.
