Résumé
L’ambition de ce travail est de réfléchir sur les rapports entre tourisme international et migrations résidentielles d’agrément dans le cas concret du Maroc. Dans le contexte de mondialisation des dernières décennies, les interventions de l’Administration marocaine et des investisseurs étrangers ont conduit à un processus de mise en tourisme du territoire se traduisant par l’apparition d’espaces touristico-résidentiels, surtout dans certaines zones du littoral ou dans des villes historiques. Ces espaces adaptés aux besoins des touristes étrangers contribuent à produire et à reproduire des représentations et des imaginaires fondés sur la recherche d’altérité et le désir d’exotisme, utilisés comme éléments d’attraction. Le texte est articulé en cinq sections : la première sert à énoncer la problématique et à présenter les antécédents historiques, alors que la deuxième établit le cadre conceptuel et décrit la méthodologie employée. Les deux sections suivantes traitent des interactions entre tourisme international et tourisme résidentiel, ainsi que des différents effets de ces activités, surtout des points de vue spatial et urbanistique. La dernière section, avant d’établir les conclusions finales, est consacrée à l’analyse des caractéristiques de ces touristes migrants de même qu’aux rapports qu’ils entretiennent avec leurs nouveaux lieux de vie.
