Résumé
Ce texte porte sur la place du service social dans la recherche et l’intervention en matière de suicide. Il se divise en trois sections : le paradoxe du service social par rapport au suicide, les apports de cette profession dans l’intervention et la recherche, et un exemple à partir d’une recherche menée par l’auteur sur la dépression chez les hommes.
Abstract
This article examines the place of social work in identifying intervention in suicide. Divided in three parts, the article describes the paradox of social work regarding suicide, the contributions of social work in the field of research and intervention on suicide and finally, presents an example from a study by the author on depression in men.
