Résumé
Cet article aborde les défis cliniques auxquels les thérapeutes familiaux sont confrontés en centre jeunesse. Ces défis se présentent de manières diverses. Le premier est le contexte légal qui confère un caractère coercitif et intrusif peu favorable à l’engagement dans le processus thérapeutique ; le deuxième est réussir à concilier l’alliance thérapeutique avec le mandat de contrôle et de surveillance. Le troisième défi est la prise en compte des besoins prioritaires de survie économique des familles. L’auteur présente une situation clinique qui illustre les dilemmes et les impasses que posent ces défis. En conclusion, les approches privilégiées par les thérapeutes familiaux spécialisés en protection de la jeunesse, sont définies.
Abstract
This article addresses the clinical challenges family therapists face in child protection services. These challenges arise in various ways. The first challenge is the legal context that confers a coercive and intrusive character unfavourable to commitment in the therapeutic process; the second challenge consists in succeeding in reconciling the therapeutic alliance with the legal mandate of control and surveillance. The third is taking into account the priority economic needs of families. The author presents a clinical situation that illustrates the dilemma and impasses these challenges pose. In conclusion, approaches favoured by family therapists specialized in child protection are defined.

Este artículo aborda los retos clínicos a los que se enfrentan los terapeutas familiares en los centros para la juventud. Estos retos se presentan de diversas maneras. El primero es el contexto legal que confiere un carácter coercitivo e intrusivo poco favorable para el compromiso en el proceso terapéutico; el segundo consiste en lograr conciliar la alianza terapéutica con el mandato de control y vigilancia. El tercer reto consiste en tomar en cuenta las necesidades prioritarias de sobrevivencia económica de las familias. El autor presenta una situación clínica que ilustra los dilemas y los callejones sin salida que presentan estos retos. En conclusión, se definen los enfoques privilegiados por los terapeutas familiares especializados en protección de la juventud.

Este artigo aborda os desafios clínicos aos quais os terapeutas familiares são confrontados em centros da criança e do adolescente. Estes desafios se apresentam de maneiras diversas. O primeiro é o contexto jurídico que confere um caráter coercitivo e intrusivo pouco favorável ao comprometimento no processo terapêutico; o segundo é conseguir conciliar a aliança terapêutica com o mandato de controle e de supervisão. O terceiro desafio é a tomada de consciência das necessidades prioritárias de sobrevivência econômica das famílias. O autor apresenta uma situação clínica que ilustra os dilemas e os impasses que trazem estes desafios. Em conclusão, são definidas as abordagens privilegiadas pelos terapeutas familiares especializados na proteção da criança e do adolescente.
