Résumé

L'objectif général de cette recherche est de mieux comprendre les liens qui existent entre les conditions matérielles, sociales et culturelles des familles et la santé mentale des enfants. En particulier, est-ce que les conditions de vie faites aux mères ont un impact sur la psychopathologie des enfants? Cette recherche dressera donc un profil social, économique et culturel des mères venues consulter en pédopsychiatrie à l'hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. Les résultats obtenus permettront de réfléchir sur notre modèle d'intervention et d'interroger sa pertinence.

SUMMARY

The general objective of this research is to better understand the relationships between material, social and cultural conditions of families, and the mental health of children. In particular, do the experiences faced by mothers have an impact on infant psycho-pathology? This research will therefore trace a profile of the economic, social and cultural characteristics of mothers who were seen in child psychiatry at l'Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. The results obtained will permit a reflection on our intervention model and a questioning of its pertinence.
