Résumé
La bioénergie développée par Alexander Lowen, (présentée dans le précédent numéro de cette revue, 1977) est sans doute la plus connue et la plus structurée des techniques thérapeutiques inspirées des travaux de Wilhem Reich. Il existe cependant un autre courant qui utilise les principaux concepts reichiens mais avec une technologie et dans un esprit différent de la bioénergie classique. Il s'agit du néo-reichien, un mélange d'hypothèses gestaltistes et d'intuitions reichiennes concernant le corps.
SUMMARY
The author describes the basic concepts of this corporal approach and distinguishes it from the bioenergetic method. Thus he presents some of Reich's intuitions such as the energizing grid (the body seen as an energy transformer), the notion of the somatic unconscious (the limitation of respiration and motility is a part of the repressive process), polarity respiration, and the work on the seven segments of the muscular armour (ocular, oral, throat, back and upper chest, chest and diaphragm, abdomen, pelvis). Next, the author explains the differences between neo-reichian and bioenergetic therapies. These are found to reside in the conception of therapy (one is analytic and the other more centered on process) and in a philosophical distinction (pleasure in living versus the diagnostic evaluation of the problem).
