Résumé
L’échelle POSITIVES (Postsecondary Information Technology Initiative Scale) porte sur les réponses de 141 étudiants francophones canadiens de niveau postsecondaire en situation de handicap concernant la satisfaction de leurs besoins reliés aux technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC). Cet article a pour objectif de présenter des données sur les propriétés psychométriques de l’échelle et d’en proposer des utilisations futures. Sa fidélité et sa validité sont excellentes. Les résultats indiquent qu’en général l’accessibilité des sites Web et services en ligne des établissements, les heures d’accès à ces technologies et les formats alternatifs des matériels de cours sont adéquats. Par contre, la formation hors campus à ce sujet et la disponibilité des ordinateurs adaptés dans les établissements sont problématiques.

Abstract
The POSITIVES Scale (Postsecondary Information Technology Initiative Scale) is based on responses of 141 Canadian French speaking postsecondary students with disabilities about how well their information and communication technology (ICT) needs were being met. The focus of this article is to present data on the psychometric properties of the scale and suggest future uses. Reliability and validity are excellent. The findings indicate that, overall, schools’ web pages and interactive online services were accessible, the hours of access to ICTs were good and access to materials in alternate formats met students’ needs. Nevertheless, training on ICTs off campus and the availability of adapted computers at school were problematic.

Resumen
La escala POSITIVES (Postsecondary Information Technology Initiative Scale) toma en cuenta las respuestas de 141 estudiantes francófonos canadienses de nivel postsecundaria en situación de discapacidad a preguntas referentes a la satisfacción de sus necesidades con relación a las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TICs). Este artículo presenta datos sobre las propiedades psicométricas de la escala y propone usos a futuro. Su fiabilidad y su validez son excelentes. Los resultados muestran que en general, la accesibilidad de las páginas Web y servicios en línea de los establecimientos, las horas de acceso a estas tecnologías así como los formatos alternativos de los materiales de curso son adecuados. En cambio, la formación sobre las TICs fuera del campus y la disponibilidad de computadoras adaptadas en los establecimientos son consideradas como elementos problemáticos.
