Résumé
Dans cet article, l’auteur analyse les jugements rendus par la Cour suprême du Canada dans R. c. Crown Zellerbach Canada Ltd. et General Motors of Canada Ltd. c. City National Leasing. Elle constate que ces décisions s’inscrivent dans un contexte de libre échange et sont de nature à conférer une juridiction beaucoup plus étendue au Parlement fédéral en matière économique.
Abstract
In this article, the author analyses the judgements of the Supreme Court of Canada in R. v. Crown Zellerbach Canada Ltd. and General Motors of Canada Ltd. v. City National Leasing. She notes that these decisions, which took place in a free trade context, confer upon the federal parliament a much wider jurisdiction in the economic field.
