Résumé
De trop nombreuses personnes sont encore victimes de violence entre partenaires intimes, dont les personnes lesbiennes, gaies, bisexuelles, trans et queers (LGBTQ+). Or, les services pour ces personnes restent rares et, lorsqu’ils sont accessibles, ils s’avèrent peu adaptés à leurs réalités. L’une des pistes suggérées pour adapter les services consiste à mieux comprendre leurs expériences et les contextes dans lesquels elles évoluent. En s’appuyant sur deux recherches qualitatives québécoises, cet article analyse les expériences vécues par les personnes LGBTQ+ victimes de violence entre partenaires intimes qui ont fait une demande à un service d’aide. Trois types d’obstacles se dégagent de leurs expériences, soit ceux liés à l’organisation hétéronormative des services, ceux liés à la conception hétéronormative de la violence entre partenaires intimes, et ceux liés au manque de formation et aux attitudes du personnel d’intervention. Des expériences positives sont aussi identifiées. Les résultats sont interprétés dans une perspective historique de la construction du problème de la violence conjugale, des politiques sociales qui y sont consacrées et des services offerts aux personnes qui en sont victimes. Des pistes de recherche et pour l’amélioration des pratiques sont proposées.

Abstract
Too many people are still victims of intimate partner violence, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LGBTQ+) people. Services for these people are still rare, and, when available, they are really suited to their realities. In order to improve services for LGBTQ+ people, it is suggested to better understand their experiences and the contexts in which they evolve. Drawing on two qualitative Quebec studies, this article analyzes the experiences of LGBTQ+ victims of intimate partner violence in professional services. Three types of obstacles emerge from their experiences: those related to the heteronormative organization of services, those related to the heteronormative conception of intimate partner violence, and those related to the practitioners’ lack of training and attitudes. Some positive experiences are also identified. Findings are discussed from a historical perspective of the construction of the problem of intimate partner violence, the social policies devoted to it and the services offered to the victims. Avenues for research and improved practices are suggested.
