Biographical note
David Gordon FCIP RPP AICP is Professor in the School of Urban and Regional Planning of the Department of Geography and Planning at Queen’s University. He was SURP director for over a decade and has taught at McGill, Ryerson, Toronto, Riga, Western Australia, Harvard, and Pennsylvania, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. David is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners, sharing their National Award of Distinction four times. Recent books include The Canadian Suburbs Atlas; Town and Crown and Planning Canadian Communities. His latest research addresses planning history and compares Canadian, Australian, and American suburbs.
