Biographical note
Katie Filek is a Ph.D. candidate in the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto. Her research examines transnational histories of twentieth-century architecture, with a particular focus on media, technology, and the circulation of architectural knowledge in the context of mid-century Canada. She holds a Master of Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in Italy and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of British Columbia. She is active as a translator and has worked in architecture studios in Italy, Austria, and France.
