Biographical note
John Leroux has practised in the fields of art history, architecture, visual art, curating, and education, and he is currently the manager of collections and exhibitions at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. He holds a bachelor of architecture from McGill University, a master’s in art history from Concordia University, a Ph.D. in history from the University of New Brunswick, and he was a team member of Canada’s entry at the 2012 Venice Biennale in architecture. He has taught at the University of New Brunswick, St. Thomas University, and the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. John has authored thirteen books, including Building New Brunswick: An Architectural History and The Lost City: Ian MacEachern’s Photographs of Saint John.
