Résumé
La croissance des start-up représente un indicateur important permettant d’appréhender leur réussite. L’objectif de cet article est de comprendre les trajectoires de croissance de ces entreprises en lien avec l’évolution de leur modèle d’affaires, entraînée par la numérisation. Il s’appuie sur une étude de cas multiples menée auprès de quatorze start-up françaises et se concentre sur la représentation que donnent leurs dirigeants aux thématiques étudiées. Les résultats montrent que les start-up peuvent suivre deux trajectoires de croissance différentes. Ils apportent de nouveaux éléments sur leur cycle de vie en lien avec ces trajectoires. Enfin, l’article identifie trois reconfigurations possibles du modèle d’affaires des start-up grâce à la numérisation.

Abstract
The growth of start-up represents an important indicator for understanding their success. The objective of this article is to comprehend the growth trajectories of these companies in connection with the evolution of their business models driven by digitization. It relies on a multiple case study conducted with fourteen French start-up and focuses on how their leaders perceive the studied themes. The results reveal that start-up can follow two different growth trajectories and provide new insights into their life cycle in relation to these trajectories. Finally, the article identifies three potential reconfigurations of start-up business models through digitalization.

Resumen
El crecimiento de las start-up representa un indicador importante para comprender su éxito. El objetivo de este artículo es comprender las trayectorias de crecimiento de estas empresas en relación con la evolución de sus modelos de negocio impulsados por la digitalización. Se basa en un estudio de casos múltiples realizado con catorce start-up francesas y se centra en cómo sus líderes perciben los temas estudiados. Los resultados revelan que las start-up pueden seguir dos trayectorias de crecimiento diferentes y proporcionar nuevas perspectivas sobre su ciclo de vida en relación con estas trayectorias. Finalmente, el artículo identifica tres posibles reconfiguraciones de los modelos de negocio de las start-up a través de la digitalización.
